Regulatory Structure of Higher Education in India



As the human body needs a proper meal for nourishment in the same way education is needed for the nourishment of human mind. Education is the sole factor to the difference between animals and human.  But when these institutions keep on churning out graduates Higher Education in India who are mostly unemployable, we believe the consciousness will rise among our poor and middle classes and castes that the way forward is to fight the vested interests and move in the direction of improving education quality, along with access and equity.
In recent times, several major announcements were made for developing the poor state of affairs in education sector in India, the most notable ones being the National Common Minimum Programme (NCMP) of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.
It shall be the general duty of the Commission to take, in consultation with the Universities or other bodies concerned, all such steps as it may think fit for the promotion and co-ordination of School Education in India University education and for the determination and maintenance of standards of teaching, examination and research in Universities, and for the purpose of performing its functions under this Act.
